Auguries of Innocence – Video by Jason Last

A while ago i wrote about a contribution for the “Light Series”, a series of shortfilms comissioned by Diane Pernet and Vogue Italy. Now i just found another really nice part of this project:  Jason Lasts puristic b&w short “Auguries of Innocence” is based on excerpts of the homonymous poem  by William Blake.

The video is a  collaboration with mykromag.

Auguries of Innocence is a poem by William Blake, recited by model Yuri Pleskun.
Blake`s poem contains a series of paradoxes which speak of innocence juxtaposed with evil & corruption. The young man`s stare & voice penetrate, moving in & out of the darkness.
